Honoring the Fallen, Supporting the Living

Facebook

May is a month of reflection—a time to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities. Across the nation and here at home, we pause to remember law enforcement officers who gave their lives protecting others.

Behind every fallen officer is a family, a team, and a community forever changed. Their sacrifice is not confined to a moment in time; it echoes through the lives they touched and the legacy they leave behind. Remembrance is both an act of respect and a promise that their service will not be forgotten.

At the same time, honoring the fallen also means supporting the living. It means standing with the officers who continue to serve, carrying the weight of responsibility and memory with them each day. It means ensuring that families and colleagues of fallen officers are never left to walk their journey alone.

The Manatee Hundred Club was founded on this principle—that remembrance and support must go hand in hand. We honor those we have lost by continuing to care for those who serve today and by standing alongside the families who have sacrificed so much.

This month, we remember with gratitude, reflect with humility, and reaffirm our commitment to honoring every officer’s service—past and present.
